All of the big updates coming to iPhone 16 Pro

Apple is gearing up to introduce its new iPhone 16 Pro family and we already know more about the upcoming phones.

We're already hearing rumours that the iPhone 16 Pro lineup could boast even bigger screens, with a new leak claiming Apple's biggest smartphone will increase to 6.9 inches and for both it'll come in at those larger sizes as standard. Overall design is going to be thinner on these likely due in part of the MUCH THINNER bezels.

We expect significant upgrades to the camera, perhaps including a shift up from 16-megapixel lens of current models to a 48-megapixel ultrawide-angle module. It would thus match the megapixel resolution of a standard wide-angle camera on previous Pro models, providing crisper and more detailed photos.

One new inclusion is the touch-sensitive button on the edge of Pro models to take pics and vids. The button can have the same action as a dedicated camera hardware key, and is said to be pressure sensitive just like an actual DSLR shutter for focus capture.

The button to trigger the capture is also likely capacitive, enabling swipes for toggling between still photo and video modes (always a point in consideration of mobile photographers) as well as zoom adjustment.

iPhone 16 Pro series is said to offer a fresh colour selection, including gold titanium replacing blue in the basic programme. More traditional hues such as black, white and natural titanium should still be on offer.

Although the iPhone 15 Pro series is rumored to be similar in design, some small changes could make it even more visually appealing – thinner bezels perhaps.
